Played my first set of $6.50s, ran super-hot. My monthly graph is now pretty hilarious.

Started over on FTP with my own money on the first of this month. Won $3 in the Daily Dollar and have worked that up to a decent amount now. Been grinding the $2.25 turbo SNGs, and finally had my first losing day today. Running below EV, but what else is new?

January, in review, was overall a good month. Finally took poker seriously and professionally. The last week, however, has been super rough. The shot at the 20s has been... unlucky, to say the least. Adjusted EV has me running at a 9.7% ROI, which is fantastic, but I've just been losing seemingly every 70/30, 60/40, 50/50 situation I find myself in.

January's graph looks better, but with the above rough patch the last 500 games:

Finished the month with an unlucky day playing some of the larger Sunday tournaments. Barely cashed in the Sunday Quarter Million on Stars. Sold 40% of my action to play the Sunday Million (550k first prize, wow) and got knocked out in a 55/45 flip.

Hoping to play 2000 DONs in February. Running at (or above, I daresay) EV would be fantastic.

The run-bad continues. Sigh.

The $20.8s have not been kind. I'm getting mad VPPs, but I'm running 12 buy-ins below EV already. Oh well. Will keep on grinding.

Well, I didn't get the volume I wanted this week. I played nowhere near 400 games... I managed a meek 152 games. Ran super hot and made ~20 buy-ins. It's tough putting in volume when you run like that. Comfortably was able to 20-table the $10+.4s, however. At least that goal was reached.

Today was a different story. I moved up to the $20+.8 DoNs and ran horrendously. Ended up down -48 bucks, although my luck-adjusted winnings were roughly +6 buy-ins (over 60 games). 10% adjusted ROI makes me confident I can beat these games (even though the sample was small). I'll start grinding these this week, although if I dip much below 25 buy-ins, I'll have to move back down.

My overall SNG green line caught up to the red line earlier this week. That was a pleasant surprise. Today reversed that, however. Oh well.

Continuing the trend of graphs... here's the graph of play since last post.

Thank god I cleared another bonus and unlocked another "stellar reward" to negate the run-bad from today.

After a disappointing day yesterday (only 45 SNGs, played poorly, ran below EV, for a net -4 buy-ins), I put in a few sets today. Only had the motivation for 4 sets (of 15 games each), as I find it more difficult to put in volume when I'm running hot and playing well. Strange how that works.

Anyway, I ended up 17 buy-ins. ROI of 28% (20% adjusted for all-in EV). I could get used to that.

I know, I know, it's not sustainable.

The plan is to play 400 DONs this week, then take a shot at the $20.8s on Sunday (hopefully I'll have hit 35 buy-ins for that stake by then). Should start 20-tabling and playing continuous sets before then. I really hate grinding, but I must.

The internet started dying in the last set. Disconnected for a minute or two. Super frustrating when that happens. Finished the games with 2 second lag. I've been looking into wireless broadband plans for a while, I really should get on that. Although, with the new MacBook Pros being announced later this month on the 27th (hopefully), I think I'll wait and see if they've decided to include built-in 3G cards in the new line.
